Aortic dissection (AD) is defined as disruption of the medial layer provoked by intramural bleeding, resulting in separation of the aortic wall layers and subsequent formation of a TL and an FL with or without communication. Aortic aneurysms are manifested as progressive dilation with high risk for death due to rupture. The most common locations are the infrarenal abdominal and ascending aortic regions in human.

Endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) aims at excluding an aortic lesion (i.e. aneurysm or FL after AD) from the circulation by the implantation of a membrane-covered stent-graft across the lesion, in order to prevent further enlargement and ultimate aortic rupture.

Enlight Medical's thoracic endovascular stent graft is commercialized in the China market.

Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the legs or lower extremities is the narrowing or blockage of the vessels that carry blood from the heart to the legs. It is primarily caused by the buildup of fatty plaque in the arteries, which is called atherosclerosis. PAD can happen in any blood vessel, but it is more common in the legs than the arms.

Enlight Medical is developing innovative peripheral stents to treat PAD.
